ooooh....this is my first blog-it's a little bit scary so be gentle with me! :)

Well, Bank Holiday weekend has been a bit of a mixed result this year, the weather has been lovely and sunny ( with periods of winter! ) and lots of familiar faces have returned to the shop to see all the new stock and make a purchase or two....I am always amazed and grateful for the support of these brilliant peeps who return again and again!

Beach plastic is, of course, high on the agenda at the moment, I have just designed a tote bag to help raise money for the plastic free Woolacombe gang. They cost £5 and £2 from each sale goes right back to them to help carry on their good work! ....just email me if you want to get your hands on one.

I have collected plastic from the beach for many years but until now have always returned it to the rubbish cycle, of course recycling when possible but I have recently started to take those little pieces of plastic out of the cycle completely.

I am making artwork by tying the pieces together in little parcels using the ghost netting also washed up and framing the finished work for sale....I did look pretty crazy to customers sat at the counter for hours tying little bits of rubbish together, but most people seemed to get it and like the results, so much so that my first one sold before I had finished it! They are definitely a talking point and bang on trend too!
